2018 Bio:

Wendy Venturini is considered to be one of the most dynamic and knowledgeable women in the NASCAR industry today. With 18 years of motorsports broadcasting experience, she spent over a decade on national television covering NASCAR for Fox Sports 1 and Speed Channel. In 2007, she became the first-female ever to call a NASCAR race from the broadcast booth. And in 2014, she made history again as the first female play-by-play announcer for the Performance Racing Network. Today, Wendy can still be heard calling the NASCAR races broadcasted on SIRIUS XM. But her career started right here at UNC working the sports broadcasts. She graduated from Carolina in 3 years with a BA in Communication Studies with a concentration in Media Production and a BA in Psychology, as well as a minor in Journalism. Wendy is married for 11 years to Jarrad, and they have a 7-year-old son Caleb, both of whom are here today. Her latest passion project is being a nationally certified trainer and Franchise Owner of Burn Boot Camp Burlington.
