As Managing Director of Gaming at NASCAR, Scott Warfield oversees the sanctioning body’s strategic approach to sports betting and esports. From integrity efforts and data partnerships to content deals and commercial opportunities, Warfield is responsible for charting NASCAR’s path in the evolving world of gaming.Prior to his most recent appointment, Warfield oversaw the development and execution of content and strategic partnerships across the governing body’s digital and social media platforms, spearheading the company’s first-ever partnerships with Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter.
Warfield joined NASCAR in 2010 and helped build the company’s communications division from the ground up. Following his promotion to senior leadership, Warfield drove communications strategy and execution in support of NASCAR broadcasting, entertainment, digital media, and in 2014 was recognized as a PRWeek 40 Under 40 winner. Warfield, who started his business career in the field of journalism as a beat reporter for SportsBusiness Journal, received a B.A. in Journalism / Media and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A long-time little league coach and now first-year adjunct professor at Wake Forest University, Warfield resides in Charlotte, N.C. with his wife and two daughters.
