2021 Bio:
Ashley Czarnowski (Johndrow) currently leads the North America Brand Marketing and Planning Team at adidas in Portland, Oregon. A 2002 graduate from UNC Chapel Hill and member of the UNC Volleyball team, Ashley originally started her career in Finance at IBM. Quickly realizing that she needed to fulfill her passion for working in sports she shifted gears, landing a job at Nike working on Mergers and Acquisitions and then in Sports Marketing. She left Nike to get her MBA at the University of Oregon’s Warsaw Sports Marketing program and since then has worked for global companies IMG, DC Shoes, and adidas pursuing a career in Brand, Product and Purpose Marketing.
Over the last 8 years at adidas, Ashley has had the opportunity to launch numerous Running and Women’s campaigns, build the 2020 Olympics strategy, and support strategic partnerships like Wanderlust and Peloton. Her most important achievement at adidas has been launching the Social Impact platform Breaking Barriers designed to keep girls from dropping out of sport by giving them the visibility, access and equity they deserve.
In her personal life, Ashley is a proud mom to two sports fanatics, Taylor (6) and Wyatt (4) and a mentor for both Up2Us Sports and PlayLikeAGirl. She enjoys travelling, hiking, camping and especially cheering on her TarHeels from afar.
